My recent stay at this beautiful Crystal Beach Resort in the Philippines left me utterly spellbound. It's no exaggeration to say that this place is a true slice of paradise, and I can't wait to share my experience. The resort is nestled on one of the best beaches in the Philippines, and that claim is no exaggeration. The powdery white sand, the gentle lull of the turquoise waves, and the backdrop of lush palm trees make it a dream come true for beach lovers. The highlight of my stay was the crystal kayaking adventure. Paddling on these clear-bottom kayaks was like floating on a sea of glass. The underwater world beneath is a mesmerizing kaleidoscope of marine life. It's an experience that added an extra layer of magic to my beach retreat.
The beach itself was pristine—I have no words.
But here’s a list of things that I hated about the resort:
1. They misled us by sending inaccurate photos of the room we reserved. They sent a nice, acceptable-for-its-price room with newly-painted concrete walls—what we got is a shabby and musty room on the 2nd floor, with creaking floorboards, dusty windows and floor. Total opposite of what they sent.
2. Food was made from cheap ingredients but were insanely expensive—Cornsilog and Meatloafsilog was Php270 (you can’t buy a single order, it’s always two meals). Considering how expensive the food was, they didn’t even care including the whole can of meatloaf, it was only 4 thin slices which I think but just be 1/3 a can. The Ensaladang Talong was boiled, not grilled, too (biggest disappointment since i love talong salad)
3. They don’t provide free utensils for eating. You have to either bring your own or buy from their sari-sari store.
4. They overbooked the place with tent renters—tents were everyone leaving just wide enough paths for people to pass through. It was very crowded. I get that they probably wanted to maximize the profits from the holiday rush but it resulted in a noisy, non-relaxing stay.
5. There were no restrictions/crowd control for the guests. One group even brought their own sound system and played songs so loudly, it can be heard from the entrance (they’re staying very close to the beach. Another brought their own videoke and were singing loudly, too.
6. The restroom which was supposedly just for our room is located on the ground floor, and guests who are staying below us and others from the cottage across our room were using it. There were no hooks for hanging things (a couple of my stuff fell through the small window which was the only space you could possibly place any of your stuff), the door doesn’t shut fully and the gap is right across another room’s window. The toilet bowl was too low—if you’re pregnant, chubby or someone with a bad knee, you’d definitely have a hard time using it.
7. The tindera in the sari sari store was a snob.
8. Their Piso Wi-fi machines were not working (the reception in the area is terrible since it’s almost on the farthest part of the island).
FYI, I only took photos of the beach and not the resort.
Went there with my family 2 days ago. It was awesome. The long ride was worth it cuz the resort is pretty amazing and the sand is white. It is indeed like mini Boracay. I've noticed even the place is far but still a lot of people are coming especially old people. The place is very clean. The staffs are approachable. Very organized place. I don't have any problem with the resort itself but just too much freedom. It's very noisy even after midnight. People are shouting and laughing very loud and the music. It would be better if they tell people to minimize their voices after midnight. It's okay to talk or laugh though don't get me wrong. Just don't shout or don't be so loud cuz we are all here to relax and have fun.
✅It takes 1 hour and 45 minutes to get there.
✅ Tricycle fare from barge to Alorro is 250 per person
✅ Internet connection is unstable but they have vendo WiFi and it's working pretty good.
The beach in this area is beautiful; however, the main issue lies with the resort's management. They fail to regulate or restrict the number of guests, which becomes problematic given the limited space at Alorro Resort. As a result, they are unable to accommodate a large number of people.
Upon our arrival, we discovered that there were no available huts or rooms, only tables with chairs. Considering it was raining at the time, we expected the resort to provide umbrellas for shelter. Unfortunately, upon inspection, we were left with no choice but to endure the rain without any proper cover. Despite the heavy rain, we proceeded to have our lunch.
We decided to explore the nearby area in search of temporary shelter from the rain to protect our belongings from getting wet.
The view is great but you need to book early if you are going with your family try the villas that cost no more than 5 thousand you will have an air-conditioned room and other amenities good for 10 or more people and no corkage.
The staff was very kind. The beach was beautiful. We had a great time for 3 hours. Day pass P100. Food is available also, but we didn't order any.
There's a very steep bumpy dirty road to get there at the end of the journey. The beach is very beautiful but the waves and current were too strong when we went there to be able to enjoy a nice swim.
Love the beach and liked the resort.
Expect crowded. Not your type sa ayaw crowded ang area.
